Build the foundations properly.

Testing is not clicking through screens and hoping to find defects. It is a disciplined process for gathering evidence, exposing risk and helping people make better delivery decisions.

This programme develops the practical capability required to analyse requirements, design effective tests, execute them in a controlled way, manage defects, evaluate evidence and communicate what the results mean.

The programme supports recognised software testing certification pathways, but its primary purpose is applied professional capability. It does not claim accreditation by a certification body unless separately confirmed in the final commercial offer.

Equivalence partitioning, boundary values, decision tables, state transitions, use cases, exploratory testing and risk-based selection.

Test cases, charters, execution records, evidence quality, defect reports, severity, priority, triage and lifecycle management.

Agile and V-model contexts, unit through acceptance testing, integration, regression, UAT, OAT and business acceptance.

Introductory database interrogation, service testing, request and response analysis, device coverage and responsive behaviour.

A realistic project exercise requiring analysis, planning, design, execution, defect reporting and a defensible quality conclusion.
